I went to The Nutcracker ballet last Saturday night. I will spare you the gruesome details of getting ready because it was painful, but I finally made it out the door in a little black dress, a messy bun, and a smoky eye.
I returned from The Nutcracker exhausted, which is worrisome because I wasn’t actually out that late and fear I am getting old. I didn’t bother to remove my smoky eye before I went to sleep (and dreamed of re-enrolling in college, which is hardly as lovely as what Clara in The Nutcracker got to dream about).
It must have been fate that I fell asleep with that smoky eye on because this blog post wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t. When I woke up the next morning, I found myself with a smoky eye just as fresh as the night before. No creases and no dark under-eye circles. I couldn’t believe it. I literally could have just kept my eye makeup on.
The secret to my creaseless smoky eye was my new MAC Paint Pot. Kristen, my darling MAC associate, assured me the formula was better than the tubes, and she was absolutely right. This was my first sleepover with my Paint Pot, and I was extremely pleased with the results. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
Paint Pots come in a variety of colors to match your skin tone. You swipe it across the eye area before putting on your shadow in order to keep the shadow in place. That’s it. Additionally, MAC has colored Paint Pots. I’m tempted to try the Delft blue. They run $16.50.
